Girl Talk Partners with Pro Volleyball Federation to Support Girls’ Empowerment

The Pro Volleyball Federation, which is the newest women’s volleyball league in North America, announced a partnership last year with Girl Talk, a nonprofit mentorship and self-esteem-building organization designed to nurture and empower young girls throughout the U.S. This collaboration was the league’s first nonprofit partnership, and opens the door for more impact driven opportunities in the future.

For now, the Pro Volleyball Federation aims to use its alliance with Girl Talk to help its players develop the leadership skills they’ll need after their days on the court come to a close, and to provide Girl Talk youth with additional mentorship and programming at a community level. The joint initiative will also include community service projects in areas surrounding each Pro Volleyball Federation team, and sport-themed curricula at youth volleyball camps across the country.

Girl Talk already has a significant track record of driving community and individual progress, having boosted the self-confidence of over 75,000 girls across the United States and beyond. Together, the Pro Volleyball Federation and Girl Talk believe that their collaboration will be able to have an even greater impact on the next generation of young women in, and beyond, the world of sports.

This partnership is all about giving back, empowering girls, and helping them build confidence. Participants in previous Girl Talk programs already report a 100% increase in their self-confidence, with 95% touting an increased sense of belonging. It’s hard to argue that those are some pretty impressive numbers, so this new partnership with the Pro Volleyball Federation can only make them even stronger.

For the PVF itself, which started play just last year, the collaboration positions its brand as a key actor in the community. It demonstrates a responsibility that goes beyond the court, and a willingness to lead with their values to benefit girls across the country.
