Number 96
Scope of Impact: Nationwide
Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed's NIL deal is breaking our brains a little bit. Not only is he getting private jet access through ENG Aviation Group, he’s also using the sponsorship for a profound social purpose. Here’s what you should know:
Elite Access: With his new luxe travel accommodations, Reed is now part of an exclusive group of college quarterbacks with such high-value NIL agreements.
Life-Saving Mission: He’s also serving as a brand ambassador for ENG Organ Recovery, leveraging his platform to promote critical organ donation awareness.
Direct Impact: As part of his NIL deal, Reed will post about organ donation on his social platforms, and engage with organ donors, recipients, and medical teams this summer at a Houston hospital.
We’re seeing more and more players (and brands) getting into creative NIL deals, especially for philanthropic purposes. And you know we love it!
Reed, of course, wins on all fronts with this partnership. He becomes only the 4th college QB to land a private jet deal, and gets stellar PR, all while making a real difference on an issue he cares about (with a brand that’s native to TX). Through his sponsorship, he’ll be integrated into public education efforts around organ donation, and become an official brand ambassador for ENG Organ Recovery — making a commitment to utilize his platform to share stories, stats, and information on how people can register to become organ donors.
None of this would have happened without the creative thinking from ENG Aviation Group, finding a way to raise awareness about organ donation and organ transport (which often happens on luxury jets when they’re not chartered, who knew?) via college sports. It’s a great example of how NIL can be used for good, and we’re really hopeful this is just one step of many toward a more conscious NIL ecosystem.
