W|W WEDNESDAY NEWSLETTER: JULY 16, 2025
While the FIFA Club World Cup ended with a big upset (congrats to Chelsea), some of the social impact partnerships we highlighted in our Downloads this past week were also a little bit unexpected:
Coors Light built a giant replica of Patrick Mahomes’ head as a cold plunge tub to benefit his foundation.
Vagisil entered the sports arena with the New York Liberty to break the stigma about feminine care and benefit girls in the NYC area.
And, USA Field Hockey partnered with the Grewal Family Foundation to create field hockey hot spots for boys.
Our Mic Drop isn’t unexpected, but it’s definitely inspiring. It recognizes the record breaking 197 college football players nominated to the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for their engagement in their community. Major kudos here.
If you’ve been thinking about a summer getaway, hospitality brand Accor has identified a new summer trend you might want to jump on: athletic adventures. But only if you’ve got a spare $20K or so laying around. We’ve got ideas for Leveling-Up these posh experiences to make them just a little more accessible, and beneficial, for us regular folks and the local communities around us.
Last but not least, our website got an update, with new pages, info, and content around all of what W|W has to offer, including strategic services and original productions. Go take a peek and tell us what you think.
Until next week,
The WIN | WIN Team

PARTNERSHIPS FOR GOOD
Coors Light is bringing 60 Kansas City Chiefs fans a unique opportunity to get inside Patrick Mahomes’ super chill head — literally. For just $15, they can take a cold plunge in a giant replica of his face, with proceeds from the experience benefitting his “15 and the Mahomies Foundation.”

“When nearly 200 young athletes choose to serve, it creates a ripple effect far beyond the game. Their leadership in the community is just as worthy of recognition as their performance on the field.”
Danny Wuerffel — former NFL quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner, and College Football Hall of Famer — for whom the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, which honors college football athletes’ commitment to community service, is named.

We recently read a blog post on Danimás, a site about women’s strength training, style, and culture, called “The Hottest Hotel Amenity is Professional Athletes.”
The TL;DR? Uber-upscale resorts are starting to offer high-dollar, exclusive activities with big name athletes as way of setting themselves apart, and creating a unique vacationing experience for their high-dollar guests. Think private tennis lessons with Venus Williams, or an off-road tour in Scotland led by an Olympic cyclist. According to the post, “global hospitality company Accor named ‘athletic adventures’ as one of their travel trend predictions for 2025,” so we might be seeing more of these in the future.
For those who can afford it, more power to ya. But with power also comes responsibility….
What if these resorts — and the athletes and brands they partner with, like Giorgio Armani — were to direct some of the proceeds from these extravagant experiences to social impact organizations in their geographical communities, or nonprofits / foundations that the athletes themselves support?
And what if it wasn’t only the jet-set who had the opportunity to mingle with sports superstars, but kids from YMCAs, Boys and Girls Clubs, and local rec leagues also had a chance to enjoy these once-in-a-lifetime experiences? If the “you have to see it to be it” trope rings true, then getting to spend an afternoon on a 5-star resort’s beach volleyball court with a world-renowned champion is the coolest kind of “seeing it” we can imagine.
There’s no shortage of funding here to make any of this happen, so the only question we have is…what are y’all waiting for? (We’re here to help if you need it.)
