👋🏼 Welcome back to WIN | WIN Wednesday! 👋🏼
Cody and Amy were at the Clios’ State of Play Sports Summit yesterday, where there was plenty of talk about partnerships of all kinds — brands and leagues, teams and media platforms, even Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift (no joke). So today, we’re taking that as inspo, and bringing you a newsletter chock-full of nuggets exploring some of our favorite Partnerships for Good.
We’re shining a spotlight on a few high-impact athletes (Stephen Curry and Caitlyn Clark), high-performing brands (New Balance), and high-energy teams (Atlanta Braves) that have built powerful alliances to drive positive change in their communities.
Our Win of the Week goes to a new partnership between the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury Foundation and Banner Health, who are joining forces to invest $1M in youth sports medicine and access for local kids. (It’s no coincidence that this story is actually a partnership between W|W and Youth Sports Business Report, too.)
Our Mic Drop tackles a partnership aiming to elevate Flag Football officiating nationwide, ensuring that the sport has the right infrastructure in place to support its major popularity surge.
And finally, you’ll get to meet two members of our Board of Advisors: Ben Bodipo-Memba, former US National Team Volleyball player and NCAA coach, and Allie Chinsky, VP and Senior Counsel for the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena.
If it sounds like it’s been a busy week over here, it has. And there’s way more to come.
Until next time,

Teams + Healthcare + Kids = Major WIN | WIN. We love it when multiple groups partner for an initiative like this, bringing funding, technology, resources, visibility, and expertise together to not only make sports more accessible for local youth, but also make them safer. What’s included in this million-dollar investment, you ask? Well…you’ll just have to read the full story to find out.

This Week’s Spotlight: Partnerships for Good
Like we mentioned earlier, partnerships between athletes, teams, leagues, brands, and orgs are only getting stronger, and becoming even more central to creating meaningful impact. Check out four great examples from our archives that are leading the way, and harnessing the power of sports to drive real social change.

👀State Farm. Yes, we’re watching them ahead of the WNBA All-Star game in Indy this year. They just launched the “With the Assist” Initiative with Fever star Caitlin Clark. We’re expecting some really great social impact work at the ASG as all these elements collide in Indy.
